For a financial planner, value shows up in many ways. Over a lifetime, value can be quantified by account balances, and it can be defined by the relationships that grow across generations. Those are two of the long-term measures of success that Maya Katzman wants to use with her clients as they work toward their financial goals.
When Maya's dad passed away, she became the main point of contact for his clients – and for the adult children of his clients who stayed with the firm because they saw the impact he had on their parents.
After running the business for a few years, it was now time to brand her own company, that celebrated the legacy her father had started.
The first step in the project was coming up with a name. I drew on Maya's love of numbers and how they could paint a picture for both the present and the future. Balancing budgets, financial goals and dreams along with life's challenges that come up along the way, is a fine balance; and one that financial planners work with all the time. The name Symmetry represents the achievement of balance and the art of achieving one's goals with all of life's financial challenges and obstacles.
