I have been drawing, painting, coloring, and creating since I was old enough to hold a crayon. Design is a part of who I am and how I view the world.
I believe design permeates everything. The space we live in. The clothes we wear. The colors we choose. And, design shapes how the world see us. Now that I’m grown, I still like to color and paint. But these days I do it to help companies make lasting impressions on the people they want to reach.
Good design doesn’t just help you get noticed. Good design stirs emotions. The right image - just like the right outfit - tells your customers who you are and what you stand for. All in the blink of an eye - which is about all the time you have to grab their attention. We say that a picture is worth a thousand words for good reason: up to 90% of the information transmitted to the brain is visual.
Good design is also about credibility. If you’re not putting your best foot forward - if you’re not proud of what you’re putting out into the world - how are you going to have a strong selling message?
That’s where I come in - as your partner. Nobody knows your business better than you do. My job is to listen. To interpret. And to do something you wouldn’t be able to do for yourself - unlock the power of great design.
Before forming my own company, I worked as Director of Marketing at a New York-based credit union ($120M assets) for 15 years. I understand the needs, challenges and philosophies of credit unions and their members.
I’ve worked with doctors, financial professionals, subscription publications, trust attorneys, corporate trainers, authors, photographers, lobbying firms, limousine companies and small businesses across the United States. Whether you are starting a new business, launching a new product line, or hoping to boost sales, I can help. Let’s put design to work for you.
I founded Spitball in 2016 after ten years at a Seattle-based environmental education organization, most recently as the Director of Communications and Creative Services.
At Spitball, I partnered with organizations operating near the intersection of children and health.
As a writer, I have worked with major book publishers, global pharmaceutical companies, and nonprofits focused on everything from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy to environmental education. I have written grant proposals and newsletters; prepared corporate communications tools and media kits; and teamed up with great minds on brand strategy, documentary filmmaking, and visual design.
I am thrilled to be partnering with Creative Twist!
I have been a software industry consultant for over 25 years. With a B.S. in Computer Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an M.B.A. from University of Southern California, have helped large and small businesses improve and streamline their business processes using software based solutions.
With an emphasis on today's technology including web and phone based solutions, I have engineered and led many custom solutions that focus on increased productivity and cost reduction.
I am proud of my reputation for on-time and on-budget projects that are cost effective and maintainable.
When I reflect on my more than 30-year career as a C-Suite executive, sales professional and marketing guru, I hope that my professional legacy will be the impact that I had on the lives and the careers of the individuals on my various teams - how I was able to influence, motivate, coach and counsel these colleagues to aspire to their own greatness.
Now that I have been an entrepreneur for a few years, I have realized that being part of a team and exploiting my ability to inspire others’ ambitions are the elements that have been missing for me.
And so it is with abundant excitement and extreme anticipation that I join Creative Twist as our wordsmith, scribe and creative content provider.
In this role, I envision applying many of the key lessons learned in my extensive, North American sales and marketing career. I understand go-to-market strategies, product and services messaging, as well as the advantages of stressing benefits not just features.
I bring a sales sensibility to all my efforts and intend to help our clients communicate those key factors that distinguish them from their competitors, elucidate their key value propositions and drive their successes.
